9 Nutrients Depleted by Your Birth Control Pill

Most medication we take interacts with our nutritional biochemistry to some degree. The Oral Contraceptive Pill or ‘The Pill’ is no different, and we’ve actually known this since 1970. However, although 1 in 4 women in Australia aged 18 to 49 are using the Pill at some point in their reproductive life most take this without their prescribing practitioner elucidating the effects this medication can have on nutritional status, cardiovascular heath or mental wellbeing.
